The guides were great They made feel like you were living during that time.
I was amazed by the talent and knowledge of the cast. "Peter" the rope maker...made the entire experience fantastic!
It was a different tour to what I had envisaged. I have discussed in more detail with the museum.
Fantastic tour with truly dedicated tour guides!
I was not able to ride the hop on hop off bus. The package with the museum tour at 2:30-3:30 did not allow any time to ride the bus since it stopped service at 4:00PM. I contacted customer service but have not been offered a refund or any further communication.
We're in love with Peter and his charisma, he made it all worthwhile. The boat was really fun and the museum was surprising with the live pictures, thanks for the memories!
The guide was super nice. I really loved the show.
What is a great tour! Our guide was absolutely amazing
Our group had a blast, as we were taken back in time and became part of the American patriots. We learned a lot of history, and enjoyed the characters, the AI, and the throwing of the tea into the Haaabar!!!
It was great learning more history of that day in Boston Harbor and we got to commit treason and toss some tea in the bay. Lol
I was surprised by the immverse acting of the actors playing the historical figures. It was quite special as I was a big History nerd as a kid.
Bob was an excellent tour guide. I only went because my husband wanted to go, but now I can't wait to watch the next Red Sox game next season. His love for the sport and team is contagious!
The museum was brought to life by the re-enactors who brought the history to life with serious ESS and fun. Issues were dealt with accurately and well and the whole thing is very thought provoking. As a Btit it was eye opening. Ease of booking (online) was great and ensured we managed to get the last couple of tickets for the day.
Such fun! The speakers were SO talented and good at engaging everyone. Very informative and well done. The museum was very well appointed. Lovely presentation overall. Thank you!

Not enough busses. Spent most of the day waiting at stops for next hop on bus to show up. Average wait was 45 minutes.

After two hours we left . Only 2 buses showed up and they would not let us on because they were full.

What a great experience learning about the history of Boston. Loved that you could hop on and off and check out areas as long as you would like. Ms. Jackson was a wicked smart tour guide!!!

I wish I had known more about the tickets before I purchased them. It wasn't until after I completed the transaction that I learned I couldn't get a refund. My daughter and I had one day in Boston to take a tour. Due to time constraints we couldn't make it to the ticket booth by 9:00 am and missed the window to get the tickets. I know the website states I can use the tickets before next March but why can't I just get a refund? I definitely won't be able to travel back to Boston by next March. I had a small window to visit as my father is fighting cancer. His future is uncertain and I just wish the website had provided clearer instructions and information. Now I am out $125. I would appreciate a refund in good faith.

Weather conditions were terrible so we were advised not to go up. The staff told us to ask for refund and advised us that 3rd party sellers are tricky to get refunds. I see you do not do refunds, therefore the 1 star. If there is a remedy this then great because we were excited to go up but unfortunately could not.

Stand on authentic replicas of the ships that played a central role in the Boston Tea Party. Participate in reenactments, toss crates of tea into Boston Harbor, and relive the very event that helped ignite the American Revolution.

Abigail’s Tea Room: Enjoy a variety of teas, including the kind that was thrown into the harbor during the Boston Tea Party. The tea room also serves light snacks, pastries, and sandwiches. During the summer, you can enjoy your tea on the outdoor patio with views of the harbor.
The on-site gift shop is a treasure trove of unique souvenirs and historical replicas. You can purchase tea crates similar to what was thrown overboard, books on the American Revolution, and other themed items like feather quills and costumes that make perfect gifts or mementos.
Your ticket includes access to all parts of the museum, including the interactive exhibits, live reenactments, and a tour of the replica ships.
While same-day tickets may be available, we recommend booking tickets in at least two weeks in advance online, especially during peak seasons between April and November, to guarantee entry at your preferred time.
Yes. Children under the age of 12 years can avail discounted tickets. Check the ticket prices here.
Absolutely! Boston Tea Party Ship & Museum is family-friendly and provides an engaging experience, especially suited for children above the age of 10 years. However, some reenactments may be intense for younger kids below the age of 7 years who may not understand the pretext of the historical events being portrayed.
If you miss your tour time, it’s best to contact the museum staff as soon as possible. They may be able to accommodate you in a later tour, depending on availability.
Weekday mornings are a great choice if you’re looking for a quieter visit, with smaller groups of around 30-40 people. Even during busier times, each time slot is capped at 55 people, so you’ll never feel too crowded. But if you’re after the full energy of the reenactment, a full house really brings the show to life and makes the experience even more exciting!
You decide how involved you want to be! Stand back and take it all in, or dive right into the action by tossing tea overboard. Just remember to be mindful of others so everyone can enjoy the show without disruptions.
The museum does not have a parking lot of its own, but there are several paid parking garages nearby. We recommend opting for public transportation due to limited street parking.
Yes, you can visit Abigail's Tea Room without purchasing a ticket to the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum.
